what I do I am a full time mom. Notice I say full time mom and not stay at home mom. That's because I am seldom at home. We also have our own business. My hubby, Dave, is a photographer. He does art shows and is very successful. He does what I call decorative photography, things you would use to decorate your house. It is hard to explain if you have never seen his work. Several years ago I decided to get more involved in the business and I started making notecards, mouse pad and coasters with his work on them. I also do custom work for people, like a family picture on a mouse pad. I am just starting a new "division" in our business, I am working on a line of papercraft items, handmade books, picture packs, accordian books in tins and other items that I am still developing. I am hoping to bring this line out in the fall. If you would like to see the kind of work we do check out our website at www.lashotphotography.com You will also find pictures of us all there. |

my family I am married to a wonderful man. His name is David and we have been married since Feb. 1988. We have 2 children Kelsie age 18, who just graduated from high school, and Jaryd age 16. My family are the light of my life. There are times when they wear on me, as any of you can understand, especially if you have teens, but they are the best thing that ever has happened to me. We are a very close family and I love them all dearly. |

where I live I live in the Town of Tonawanda, which is just outside of Buffalo, New York. Now don't say oh no not with all that snow. The snow isn't as bad as they make it out to be. Besides we don't live in the "snow belt" area. Yes, it does get cold, but we have warm hearts. I love this area and wouldn't want to live anywhere else. |

my favorite quote Here are a few of my favorites: "A face without freckles is like a sky without stars" and one from Erma Bombeck "My second favorite chore is ironing, my first being banging my head against the bunk bed until I faint" I'm not sure that is the exact quote, but you get the idea. Another is one I heard from Oprah, but I don't know who said it: Life may not be the party we hoped for, but while we are here we might as well dance. |

achievement I'm most proud of Something I am very proud of are the volunteer awards that I have received. Several years ago I was named Volunteer of the Year for our PTA, in the 2001-2002 school year I received a district award for "outstanding contributions" to the PTA and community. These mean a great deal to me, the years I spent involved in the PTA were very special. I am still involved in school through "Coffee with the Principal" meetings monthly and keep up to date on what is happening in our district and my kids school. |
