Alaska

Let the games begin! lol.  Know that you have another Palin fan.  As one reporter said tonight...it will only endear her to her fans, make her more real, more human, less politician.  Hang in there...

I'm currently in Chicago for a conference and I am stunned by how much is on the news!  I'm sick of hearing about Wasilla and seeing Wasilla and hearing about all of the crap their saying...and I'm not even there!  And then today, imagine my shock when I was watching the Today Show and saw a photo that I took of Levi (Bristol's boyfriend) being run!  Levi played hockey with Ryder and he is the nephew of my best friend...so we've known Levi since he was very little.  And there was the photo that I took...right there on the Today Show. 

We have some other friends who happen to have the same last name as Levi and she told my husband yesterday that they were going to have their phone number changed today because their phone is ringing 24 hours a day from people looking for relatives of the boyfriend.  Its insane!! 

I'm a little gun-shy about telling people here in Chicago that I'm from Alaska because as soon as they know, I get swamped with questions and it really doesn't help when I saw that I live in Wasilla.  Dear lord....

At first I thought this would be fabulous for Alaska but now I'm not so sure.  *sigh*

What a bummer that the families (and all Alaskans) have to go through this.  Eventually it will die down, but it's disappointing that they are putting the town and families through all of that.  I'm pretty sure they're not the first unwed teenage parents.

I certainly hope there isn't any mudslinging at Alaska. I'm sure Gov. Palin is strong enough to withstand the media and I'm sure she's been warned that this will happen to her - like she hasn't seen it with the last who knows how many other politicians! But, it would be rather sad of people to start mudslinging Alaska! I thought it was everybody's goal to visit there - someday.

I, like others, I'm sure, love coming over here to get a first hand view of Gov. Palin. I was once sold some furniture by a gal from Arkansas, she said that they elected Pres. Clinton because they wanted him out of Arkansas. Now there's a good recommendation! I was hoping not to read that on this board about Palin and I'm thrilled that I haven't. :)
