How about "Baby's First Smoothie" recipe? (M)

Baby's First Smoothie (7-9 months)

1/2 banana 1/2 cup breast milk (if baby is formula fed, can sub formula) 1/4 cup apple juice

Donna, if you get a few of these together, will you share them with me? Esp if you locate the breastmilk ice cream one (how to make it).

REPOST for manint....suggestions for nipple pinching baby...more

Zoe' is 2.5 months old and EBF. I have a strong let down reflex and had oversupply--but not too too bad. Zoe' taught herself to pinch my nipple to slow down the flow and I'm really starting to get sore. I've started feeding on one breast for blocks of time to help reduce the forcefulness of my let down, and I think it is working.

My question is...How do I train the baby that she no longer needs to pinch me?

Any advice is much appreciated.

Thanks

Eryn and baby Zoe'

Have you tried (m)

Opening your mouth wide and saying open to get her to open wide? This may help. Is she pinching after she latches? I would unlatch then do the wide thing again. Your basically retraining her to latch. DO NOT continue nursing while her latch is bad, re latch her even if it takes 20 tries. HTH

REPOST for brandycarrelli...BTDT mom(but forgetful) w/ poop question....more

Sometimes the stools aren't just the normal BF stools (looser, seedy). Sometimes they seem yellow and liquid/runny (and spill out of the diaper a lot). Normal, or a problem?
