Am sorry to hear he's not feeling well :(   You might continue to offer gently to nurse, and then offer ebm via cup (not traditional sipply necessarily, there are other ideas you can try if you haven't already) or try momsicles, or even frozen yogurt bars, etc.:

You can also do a gentle massage to help the fluids drain around the ears (dd does it gently while nursing, and I do it on gr-dau while she's snoozing in my arms).  Here is how we do it (adapted from the massage my moms therapist recommends/does):

NOTEWe do this at the first signs of stuffiness or runny nose, and do it a minimum of 4 x a day  - unless it's not working within 2 - 3 days then we do the OMT process as described in the book No More Antibiotics, by Mary Ann Block(it's a more thorough massage and done differently, but very easy to do at home).

Place baby on floor (or table if baby lays still LOL) and either sit at baby's head, or sort of straddle baby (but not sitting on LOL) - any position that allows you easy/free motion to do the massage is fine.

and for the actual massage:

With your thumbs flat and pressing on the middle of the forehead, gently but firmly push the thumbs outward from the center of the forehead toward the temple and down the outsides of the cheeks. Do this three or four times.

Next with the same type of pressure and using both thumbs, do the same from each side of the nose near tear duct area (on cheek bone, not "under the eye") - apply a firm but gentle pressure and move/massage from the nose out across the cheek bone toward the temple area.

Next place thumbs above and just behind ears..bring them down in gentle but firm massage in sort of slight "C" down behind ears to jaw, then from jawbone, down very gently straight toward collarbone. (you've just made a sort of ? mark with the massage from above the ear, down toward collarbone)

You can then massage the back of the neck from base of neck on either side of spine (you can feel a "groove") just gentle rubbing down toward back.

Always rub in downward motion (you're "draining" fluids) and always use gentle pressure.

Sinus massage and other treatments for sinus pressure are mentioned here:

You can take this opportunity to also incorporate an entire baby massage into the picture too:

Hope baby feels better soon :)

This is interesting! Isn't this is the same massage they do when we get our facials done, atleast back home in India. And it works wonders even on adults :-)).

I have been massaging my baby likewise only because I know I used to love this part during facials! Now I know why..Thanks for the tip! And she enjoys it too!
