Just curious about what the prices are like around your area - especially those who live in Canada and Israel and any other countries besides the US.

I just came back from a 750 mile weekend trip (375 miles each way.)  Wow it is getting expensive to visit my mom and sister!  I went up to help my mom since she just got out of the hospital.

I was also thinking about it and I signed Rachel up for a camp that is 9 miles away.  Since my vehicle gets about 19 miles/gallon in the city I am going to be spending roughly $8 per day just in gas to get her to and from camp.  That is assuming that gas prices don't rise between now and when camp starts - big if!

Robin (who paid $4.12/gallon for 87 octane yesterday.)

We're paying $1.35.6 per litre.  If my conversions are correct, that's about $5.13 per U.S. gallon.

We rarely use our van now, and are not taking any long road trips this summer.

Growing up in Buffalo I remember that gas prices in Canada were always higher than in the States.  I was wondering if that was still true and I guess it is.

Luckily we have two vehicles that are not over-the-top huge = an Honda CRV and an Honda Accord.  We used to have a mini van, but we traded that in for the CRV about a year ago.  The CRV isn't the greatest on gas mileage, but it is it is sure better than one of those huge SUV's or the old mini-van.

I live in Wisconsin and I just paid $3.97 per gallon. I have a Saturn Ion and it gets “ok” gas mileage. I work about 45 minutes from home and it feels like I fill up all the time!! UGH! I have Eilee every other week and she used to go to daycare in the same town where she went to school but it is also about 9 miles North and then I’d have to drive 9 miles South and then another 45 minutes to work. So this summer I decided to send her to a summer program that is on my way to work because I can’t afford to bring her into town! Luckily on the weeks when I don’t have Eilee, my boyfriend and I carpool because we work at the same company. That helps a lot.

I just got gas yesterday and 19 gallons of the stuff (regular gas, not plus or premium) cost me $73.53 (75.2165 CAD according to the conversion site I used). It was $3.87/gallon.
