I'll admit it, it's my fault. I leave the TV on that channel and go off doing other things. My son, sits to watch and is facinated. I haven't even broached issues about where babies come from, and here he has probably been watching live births.

Should I put parental control on this? I feel like I shouldn't allow it. Right?

Well he tells me one day "Mom you have to eat a lot if you're pregnant" (I'm not). "Did you ever see a car go over a cliff and the guy survived!". Or, "The most obese woman is 660lbs!

I'm wondering if this is bad?

What is the issue? I would draw the line on some of the scarier shows, but learning where babies come from - he is definitely old enough.

My (then) 2yo used to watch many of those shows with me when I was pg and in bed sick.  All of my kids have known where babies come from since they were very young.  I see nothing wrong with it.  Now, I could see a problem if TV is the only place he's getting his info......

My ds has some anxiety issues so I might not have the tv on for some of the scarier shows (like super-plague, end of mankind stuff) but all else is factual and good learning. And he, himself will turn off the tv (when watching alone) if it's gory...can't take the sight of blood LOL!

How old is he?

I wouldn't mind if my son caught the birth stories, but I wouldn't want him to see "Trauma: Life in the ER." Talk about trauma, he'd probably have serious nightmares! (He's 4)

Everyone should have kids. They are the greatest joy in the world. But they are also terrorists. You'll realize this as soon as they are born, and they start using sleep deprivation to break you.
