Ok, Hopefully this goes ok.... But I'm curious.

Now that it's (THANKFULLY) over and there are no more polls, ads, gossips, etc running about. What are you ranting, raving, thinking about under the topic of this election?

This isn't a questionnaire, but... Are you relieved? happy? upset? worried? curious about anything? Did you watch any speeches? Did you (or could you) vote? Does it even matter to you? What about it does matter to you?

Honestly, my day today was normal. Had it not for the news papers, no one would even have been able to tell today from any pre-election day. lol.

I'm going to answer my own question and get it out of the way.

I'm SOOOOO happy its done now. Mainly because I have finals in six weeks, sooo have to focus on that more than anything. But more importantly than that - - - NO MORE ADS!!! I hate-hate-hate political ads. So now it's done, yay.

I'm excited to see there's a change - but if McCain had won, I would feel the same way. I don't think the same-old does a very good job with a changing public, specially a discontented changing public. (Discontented according to media, I should say.)

I'm relieved I don't have to care about voting for awhile. lol. But a bit worried that it's swinging very far democrat. I have no problem with democrats, just the idea of one way always will bother me. I like two sides to at least come up on issues, just to double check things. I mean how many things have we done, that we've had to undo because we didn't listen that well to the other side? Not like being split even gets too much done though... sigh, I'll never be content on that.

I'm not upset at all. The swing is something I'm just going to be watching, but after hearing the two speeches, I really have to say I liked both candidates as possibilities. Both of them had down falls, but they both had really good qualities, and all of that shown through in their speech.

I am noticing some of my friends are really bitter, which I don't get cause two of them didn't vote! Don't be angry when you didn't do anything! But I'm sure in a week everything will calm down to normal, and that's what I'm most excited about. Normalcy, and then once Obama hits office, still normalcy with the possibility of changes.

Oh, I'm worried people are going to get annoyed at the lack of instant change. We like things done fast, but I worry if we do them fast, we won't think them through. Plus, doing anything instant usually is hard, specially when you try to do it with an entire country. Change, any change from anyone, takes time, in my opinion...

But YAY. It's over. Now I can go to bed, and then start studying. lol.

Are you relieved?

*** Yes. I'm glad that it's finally over because I was very sick of the commericals on the radio & tv, the political mail, the phone calls, etc.

happy?

*** Not really. I wanted McCain to win, and I'm really not happy that Obama wound up winning.

upset?

*** Yes. Like I said in the above question, I wanted McCain to win and I'm very disappointed that he lost.

worried?

*** Very. I'm not going to go into my reasons for being worried, as I don't feel like getting into a debate about it.

curious about anything?

*** not really

Did you watch any speeches?

*** I watched both McCain & Obama's speech. McCain was very gracious and humble in his speech, and I thought it spoke a lot about his character. Obama's speech was also very good.

Did you (or could you) vote?

*** Yes. I voted by mail-in ballot a couple of weeks ago.

Does it even matter to you? What about it does matter to you?

*** It matters very much too me. I enjoy following politics, and I am interested in seeing what Obama is going to do as President. I'm also interested to what Sarah Palin's future may bring.

Are you relieved?

*** Completely and totally.  That would be my number one feeling, besides elation.

happy?

*** Thrilled.

upset?

*** Nope, but I was kinda bummed the Senate did not get the 60 seats Democrats needed.

worried?

*** I am concerned about people being all over Obama for not "fixing" everything immediately, but he can handle it.  The Repubs are going to want to attack him from day two, it's just politics.

curious about anything?

*** what kind of puppy the Obama kids will choose!  ;)

Did you watch any speeches?

*** Yep, I thought they both were great.  I was very impressed by McCain's though, as he displayed himself in a light that was so much more positive to me than his entire smear campaign.  I actually felt bad for him and his family.

Did you (or could you) vote?

*** Yes. I always vote.

Does it even matter to you? What about it does matter to you?

*** It matters a lot.  Who runs this country plays a pivitol role in the rights individuals have, and I was very concerned about the Supreme Court, Roe v Wade, gay rights, etc.

Yeah- I hope all this "change" doesn't take too long and the "change" is in the right direction. Or at least, a better direction. As in, improvement.

And I also hope that next time around, there will be more support for other candidates, as a choice of two is like the (flat) sides of a coin- one or the other, "chance" more than "choice".

Besides, more choice makes life interesting.
