Cheating would be a deal breaker.  I'd like to think counseling and a fresh start would be an option, but knowing me I'd probably kick him to the curb.  Though if the shoe was on the other foot I think he'd be a lot more forgiving towards me.

As far as the Gov. Spitzer thing goes - I don't see how you could stand next to your husband while he "apologizes" for cheating on his family.  In reality he's really only sorry because he got caught.  Kind of like the NJ Governor a few years back - I would bet the Spitzer's marriage will be over before too long.

It's agonizing for me to watch wives stand up there while their husbands publicly confess their infidelity. I can't imagine how hard and gut wrenching that would be.

If my husband cheated on me, I wouldn't be able to stay. I know myself and I know that I would never be able to get over it. I commend people who can forgive, I think that takes an enormous heart and enormous effort.

It would be way worse if my husband cheated on me with a friend. That would mean I'd lose two people in my life so it would hurt even more.

I agree with that.  I also think it's not that you would lose the 2 people, but mostly that you'd been betrayed by two people you trust most.

What do you do after you find out your husband cheated on you?

Which is worse: if your husband were to cheat with a friend or with a stranger?

We have never dealt with this but I have always felt it would be a deal breaker, like many of the other ladies said.

It would be worse if it was with a friend.  I pick my friends wisely.

What do you do after you find out your husband cheated on you? Beat the crap outta him and kick him out... I would never be able to forgive something like that.  The fact that he could say he loved me and do that means that he never really loved me in the first place.

Which is worse: if your husband were to cheat with a friend or with a stranger?  Obviously if it was with a "friend" it wasn't really a friend at all.... so yeah, I'd lose 2 people I thought cared for.... and I would absolutely never talk to my "friend" again.
