Hi cmangelak:

I am 58 years old.  At 33, I had a vasectomy performed.

If I could "do over", I would enjoy having a male contraceptive.  The cream. patch, and pill would be preferable over the shot.  I would have to take time off from work each 3 months for the shot.

Mac

It's more than past time for men to have the option of taking this responsibility into their own hands!  Just think, less men being forced to pay child support for the offspring they either didn't want or didn't have a choice in conceiving.

The real test will be to see how many men will take the initiative to (1) make and keep the regular Dr's appt's in order to get the contraceptive (2) keep the medication refilled and paid for.  (3) live with any negative side effects that occur.  We'll have to see who the real men are when/if this type of product become availible.

Oh definitely! I never understood how a guy could just take the woman's word for it.

ITA with PPs that it's high time Male Contraceptive was brought about!!  Has noone thought of this sooner???  I'd like to think that many men would take the initiative and take control of their lives to help prevent unwanted PGs.  Like a PP, however, I'm curious to see exactly how many men will actually take that initiative and keep it up.  Maybe a lot of men will get some new appreciation of all that women have been doing in these last few decades.

1st are we all aware that this form of contraceptive isn't being considered in the U.S? sucks for us... it's being used in ther countries already, including China who's used it for the past 20 years... I think i'd totally trust a guy to use it because I'm sure there are guys out there that would love to take precautions into their own hands (and why not, it's been proven 100% effective when used properly...) and women can continue to use their own oral meds too... it can be like morning bonding, wake up and we all take our pills :) haha...  talk about protection!
