How awful!  We'll be praying for him and his family.  Since you know a little about their relationship and the gun, would you be able to report any of that to the police?  I really don't know much about legal issues or anything, but it seems like any evidence in his defense would be helpful.  Especially since she seemed to have a rocky situation with her ex-boyfriend, too.  I hope his family and friends are ok.
