In this adventure Dirk is almost killed in a rescue attempt in Russia. A survey team is taken and Pitt's ship is almost sunk and destroyed. Something sinister is involved and global oil markets are in havoc.

I saw one of his books made into a movie. I enjoyed it and so did my swhusband.

My swhusband enjoys Dirk Pitt.

I read Atlantis Found a few years back with the BHG Book
Club (predecessor of this one) and fell in love with Dirk. Was disappointed with the casting of Dirk in the movie, Sahara (though I enjoyed the movie itself). I've read a few more of his books and have enjoyed each one. Life gets so mundane at times that I just need a shot in the arm and Mr. Cussler is descriptive enough that I can put myself right in the story. By the time I get done reading, I feel like I've lived the adventure right along side of Dirk. My imagination can be exhausting at times! LOL!!
