Hi...We are on vacation and today we went through Thomas Jefferson's house Monticello.....and in the gift shop I saw and bought the coolest T-shirt....Very plain....black with white lettering....and it says...."I cannot live without books"....Thomas Jefferson 1918.  I knew that was me!!!  Even my hubby said he saw it and thought of me....lol...so I bought it....What a cool saying!  Hugs, Ruth

That's a good one. I have dozens of quotes about books and reading. I'm a librarian in a middle school and I include one of the quotes in every monthly newsletter I put out. Here's one of my favorites: “When I get a little money, I buy books. And if there is any left over, I buy food.” Desiderius Erasmus

I have one on my signature file in my e-mail that says: Where is Human Nature so weak as in the bookstore? Henry Ward Beecher I love that one too.
