I used to review for a mystery magazine so I get freebies from some publishers, so I voted other...

Although I will buy from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Borders (all online) or Books A Million (more or less locally) if there is a book I've heard of that really really intrigues me... Sadly, there is no local new books store other than university bookstores in town, and since I don't like to drive into Toledo, 30 miles away, online is my preferred choice for purchases.

I am not impressed with our local library so I have never borrowed from the, I used to borrow from our Contra Costa County (CA) and Houston (TX)libraries a LOT when we lived there. They were fabulous...

I don't really like used books, or used bookstores... And I NEVER loan out books (too many bad experiences with condition of returned books --- one person actually lost an entire series of six books I loaned her! And another dropped a first edition into the bathtub! Never again!), so if I won't loan, I won't borrow (neither a borrower nor lender be... KWIM?)

I chose 'all of the above,' with one exception to that... I do not buy books online.

I belong to several mail-order book clubs (Book-of-the-Month Club, etc.). I spend way too much money on books. Especially considering I usually read them once and then give them away.

I borrow lots of books from the library, but also buy books for myself at used book sales for the Symphony and other good causes, at the library's ongoing book sale table, sometimes at used book stores, even at Value Village and Liquidation World book sections, and buy new books at independent and national retail book stores for gifts.
