Good story....great characters...Enjoyed it very much!

Amazon.com Review
Chelsea Cain steps into a crowded, blood-soaked genre with Heartsick, a riveting, character-driven novel about a damaged cop and his obsession with the serial killer who...let him live. Gretchen Lowell tortured Detective Archie Sheridan for ten days, then inexplicably let him go and turned herself in. Cain turns the (nearly played out) Starling/Lecter relationship on its ear: Sheridan must face down his would-be killer to help hunt down another. What sets this disturbing novel apart from the rest is its bruised, haunted heart in the form of Detective Sheridan, a bewildered survivor trying to catch a killer and save himself. --Daphne Durham

Ruth, you said you enjoyed it but . . . .

The review you've chosen would not make me buy this book.  Check it out from the library in a dry month maybe.

I'd much prefer to see what you think. What made you decide to read this book? After you read it, what did you think of it?

I don't know the Amazon.com reviewer but you are my friend and I take your opinions to heart.

Hi...well I did enjoy this book...It was not a lighthearted read....very dark and a mind trip for most of it....Got gruesome in places but the winding of the pieces at the end was very interesting...and I enjoy that in  stories....Reread the review and you are right not very appealing...lol...

Hugs, Ruth

Now you've got me interested, Ruth.

Though I'm not really up for anything dark (or maybe gruesome) right now, winding mind trips usually interest me. When there's a little more light in the real world, this might end up on the TRB list. If I ever get to the library again, think I'll check it out.

Thanks!

*I* think it sounds fascinating! But then again I don't mind dark & grusome books.
