What books have you hooked this month?

Have you started a wish list of books you'd like to own for Christmas?

I'm not really up to reading books these days. I'm sticking with things that will fit in short spans of attention.

Found a link this morning to a Stephen King poem in, of all things, Playboy! Here's the link if you're interested - http://www.playboy.com/articles/stephen-king-the-bone-church/index.html.

I found it rather reminiscent of Kipling. It took me a while to read it but that's just me.

Don't say I didn't warn you. ;-)

Thanks for introducing me to another author. I need to get out more and spend less money. Frequent visits to the library sound like just the ticket.

Ran into an old book while cleaning house yesterday. It doesn't really fit on this board but it fits the season. It's Found Meals of the Lost Generation.

It contains bits of history, foodie essays, and recipes of the 1920s expats in Paris. Bet it sends me straight back to Alice B. Toklas's old cookbook.

Maybe I'll even get the nerve to cook something - from either book.
