There has been a lawsuit brought against Jo and Bloomsbury, alleging that Jo copied large parts of another author's book for Goblet of Fire. This sounds like a disgruntled family trying to fleece a wealthy, successful author for some quick cash to me! See the link to the Yahoo story below:
ITA! Sounds like somebody trying to cash in on JKR's success. It would be interesting to read this booklet that she is supposed to have plagerized (sp?) but I wouldn't want to be responsible for putting any money in these people's pockets.
What gets me is that this other "book" is only 36 pages...honestly, what could fit in 36 pages that would have enough detail TO plagiarize????? I agree, I think they're trying to make quick cash off her success (and our delight).
wow,if this adrian person crammed the wizard contest, saving people from half human half fantasy creatures. talked about wizards traveling on trains, the final contest in the tornement, help from friends in bathrooms.. ... into 36 pages.. no wonder it had a very limited distribution. im just tired of people trying to sue her over a bunch of BS. im just happy for her. she was penniless herself before the harry potter books.. now look at her! and she earned her money the honest way.
