National Public Radio did a poll of what books are the best to take to the beach and Harry Potter topped the list!

Here's the link: http://www.npr.org/templates/story/story.php?storyId=106983620

So how many of you took Harry Potter with you to the beach this year or in year's past??

I have not taken HP to the beach...and I live 15 minutes from the beach!  I hate getting books sandy.  Pathetic, but true.   I love all of my books and like to keep them nice and neat...especially those I am fond of, and you KNOW I'm fond of my HPs!  Actually, my books are far cleaner than my children most of the time!

Love the link to the list, though.  I am always looking for things to read and what books others thought worthy of this list or that.

Not the beach per se, but took OOTP on vacation to a lake in Wisconsin.  Was trying to finish it before we left but didn't make it.  Avoided actually taking it in public with me as I was close to the end and knew that a main character was going to die.  Thankfully I made that decision as I sobbed through the scenes after Sirius's death.

I took HBP with me when we were camping at the beach.  It had just been released a few days before but I had already read it ( I have a terrible habit of reading so fast that I miss out on some of the details), so I didn't have to worry about anyone spoiling it for me.
