1) you are on a road trip, and getting hungry. You pull into the only one street town for miles and find the choice of restaurants are Greek, Vietnamese, Puerto Rican, Afghani and Ethiopian. Which one do you choose? Why?
i would choose Greek, because it's the only kind of food i am familiar with. i'm not big into trying new foods, so Greek it is. oh, and my husband is very fond of greek food, and when the man in the house is happy, so is everybody else. ;)
2) You are taking a media studies class and have to watch a British Soap Opera. Your choices are
Emmerdale Farm (1970-1995 village setting)
Emmerdale (1995-current, revamped EF looking at youth culture in rural areas)
Brookside (1980 - 2008 Liverpool suburb)
Coronation St (1965 - current Manchester working class area & textile mill)
Eastenders (1984- current London working class area and market square)
Which grabs you?
which one would i choose to watch, or which one would interest me the most after watching them all? because i'm completely lost in the descriptions of all of them. possibly because my brain went into hiding as soon as it saw the word "class" or possibly because i'm an ignorant American... but i just don't know the differences between the different locations.
3) You are able to take an all expenses paid driving vacation in Europe do you
a) take an open top tourer around the med
b) a luxuary sedan and tour the vinyards of France
c) take a rally car and have a good time in the Alps of Pyrannes
d) take a VW dormobile (Vanagon/T3/Bus camper) and tour the Rhineland.
Please feel free to mix and match destinations and vehicle choices.
my husband would make us take that silly rally car and have a good time in the Alps as i clutch my camera like a terrified madwoman, hoping for a good photo op as the scenery goes whizzing by...
4) Pen, Pencil, Marker, Crayon, Pastel or Brush. Which do you use for artistic endeavors? (add to the list if you need to).
pencils, definitely. i used to take great pleasure out of sketching and had a whole collection of fancy pencils and squishy erasers. i never got good enough to deem myself worthy of coloring any of it in.
5) Do you do any needle work, knitting sewing, rugging macrame etc?
nope. i've tried crocheting before, but i'm not very good at learning new things without a hands on teacher. my hands on teacher (my grandmother) died when i was 13, having only taught me 1 knot. there's not much you can do with one knot, so the hobby died pretty fast.
