What are those whacky Toa up to this time?

Well, there are no Toa in this one, Mata Nui's spirit is released from his titan form, and blasted onto a neighbouring planet where he has to help others who seem forsaken by their great one.

Of the four movies this one has the best CGI characters, and the worst backdrops.

Missing slapstick comic relief from characters such as Krekka and Nidiki, but also lacking the heavy moralizing of the Turaga. Missing the rich details in the villages, or swarms of Bhoraks or Vahki, this film lands right where I expected it, and that is a tool to boost sales of the once popular Lego line.

A must for all 8-12yr old boys.

LOL. actually seeing this movie discussed by someone other than my 7 year old son made me giggle. i've seen bits and pieces of it several times... but my son LOVES it. he watched it last night, in fact. (for the 3rd time since his birthday in September) he's a lego addict, and recently made the switch from assembling lego kits to bionicle kits, and the movie actually helped him gain a better understanding of the robots he was working with.

as i said, i didn't watch the majority of it... but i did think it was pretty cool that Michael Dorn voiced one of the characters.

If you meet me in other parts of the internet you will see that I have been a Lego user for about 35 years. The longest I've gone without receiving a gift of Lego would be about 3 years. I have a 8 and 11 year old, we don't own the first Bionicle movie, but rented it many times when it was current.

All four of us have, at one time or another, made a stop motion film using Lego.

Can't find my movie, but it's there somewhere.

It's not just the camera, it's the PC loaded with animation tools and the bench space to set up the studio, and the pile of legos next to it too.
