News to make you sing:
I heard there’s a store that sells
candy corn all year.

Left-over candy:
sweet compensation to cheer
November’s grayness.

Like last night’s goblins,
the Diabetes Fund rings
our bell, collecting.

Candy corn is DH's favourite candy - at least the favourite one he remembers from his childhood. Usually it's only available near Halloween, if at all, in small bags for Halloween treats. When I got a couple of bags in the candy aisle at the supermarket, a young woman who also got a few bags told me that a new store in the other end of town sells candy corn all year - original style and flavours! Obviously, there must be a new generation of candy corn junkies.

The candy corn I got at the supermarket is different from the candy I remember. Each piece is larger, sweeter, less tangy, and softer than I remember.
DH is just happy to get any form of candy corn, and we'll probably go to the new candy store when he finishes the stash left over from the trick-or-treaters.

They are my favorite as well. Not supposed to have them, but I sneak them once in awhile. It is one of the few things I still look forward to at Halloween. I do think they are different too, much sweeter around here too.
