In the interest of procrastination I thought I'd post some non-writing related questions so we can all get to know each other better.

1. Where did you grow up?

2. What was your favorite subject in school and why?

3. What is your favorite thing to drink?

4. If you had $100000 dollars and 24 hours to spend it, what would you buy?

5. When you daydream, what do you think about?

1. Where did you grow up?  California

2. What was your favorite subject in school and why? I was a science nerd all the way-most of my electives were science classes-I took evey one offered at my high school

3. What is your favorite thing to drink? Right now I am ADDICTED to Starbucks Iced Mochas.  I don't get them very often-$4 a cup is WAY too much to pay, but nothing else even comes close, so I treat myself once in a while.

4. If you had $100000 dollars and 24 hours to spend it, what would you buy?  I'd pay off the medical bills from my pregnancy, I'd buy a new car, and I'd book a fabulous vacation.  Anything left I would put towards paying down my student loans

5. When you daydream, what do you think about? What my daughter will be like when she's older, what I want to write about, and occasionally having lots of money!

Sorry it took me so long to answer your questions. This weekend was evil and kept me away from the keyboard way too much.

1. Where did you grow up? The Chicago area. The first five years in the Northwest Side of the city and the rest in a northwest suburb.

2. What was your favorite subject in school and why?  English. Why not? I loved reading and writing. I even enjoyed diagramming sentences.

3. What is your favorite thing to drink?  I love French Vanilla coffee - as long as it doesn't taste like coffee. I never smack myself in the head and say "I could have a V-8" because if it's in the 'fridge, I'm drinkin' it. If all else fails, I'll take a Scotch. LOL!

4. If you had $100000 dollars and 24 hours to spend it, what would you buy? The first thing would be a new car. Wouldn't it be nice not to worry about the price? I'd pay off my mortgage, of course. Could I buy annuities? If so, I'd get one for my grandson, one for my daughter (think they'd be limited to $10,000 for tax reasons), and one for myself. If annuities were not an option, I'd buy what I could to start a publishing company. Most of what I'd need would take more than 24 hours of research so I'd start with a big block of ISBN numbers. ;-) Of course, there wouldn't be time to sleep for 24 hours so I'd take myself a well-earned nap.

5. When you daydream, what do you think about?  I don't daydream much but lately I've been fantasizing about being a best-selling author with my cookbooks (yes, plural!) and other non-fiction books on subject meant to make our lives easier, more affordable, and fun. Maybe now I'll daydream about that $100,000 too!

1. Where did you grow up?

Northeastern Minnesota , aka "the woods"

2. What was your favorite subject in school and why?

History: I've always been a sucker for a sort of "unreality" (probably why I read so much fantasy lit as a tween and young adult) and I loved immersing myself in the stories of the time before.

3. What is your favorite thing to drink?

I love, love, love diet wild cherry Pepsi, but I try not to drink it too often since it's so bad for my bones. I also love chardonnay and a strong pale ale.

4. If you had $100000 dollars and 24 hours to spend it, what would you buy?

A long, long vacation, as well as pay off my student loans, make a down payment on a house, buy a new car, and put the rest in a high interest account.

5. When you daydream, what do you think about?

Oh, all sorts of things: writing success, getting married, owning a house, having my own kitchen, occasionally pets and babies

In the interest of procrastination I thought I'd post some non-writing related questions so we can all get to know each other better.

1. Where did you grow up?

Arkansas

2. What was your favorite subject in school and why?

Art, I like to draw, which why I became a Graphic Designer

3. What is your favorite thing to drink?

Earl Grey

4. If you had $100000 dollars and 24 hours to spend it, what would you buy?

First I would pay off my student loan that's going to take me about a decade at least at my current rate to get it paid off.  Then I would get a cheap car for full price no car payment just buy it off the lot.  If you wondering why a cheap car because I'm not about the big house or the fancy car, I'm just want a car to get to point a to point b.  I probably spend the rest of it on some new clothes.

5. When you daydream, what do you think about?

The day that world realizes we're all the same.  There's no reason to be fighting, we're all brothers and sisters on this world, we should find a way to see what is the same in all, rather then focusing on our differences.
