Today makes 6 weeks since I had my beautiful baby boy. I was over 300 pounds when I gave birth to him and I am now down to 285. Today is my first day of dieting, I feel pretty determined that I am going to do good. I would love to get under 200 pounds by the end of the year. Wish me some luck. Laura.

((((Laura)))), congratulations on your little blessing!

Babies can be a fun part of your fitness program.  Now that the weather is turning nice, getting out with baby in either the stroller or Snugglie-Pak for a good walk is a lot of fun.  And when he's older, "baby-presses" are fun.  Mine could keep it up for hours (easy for HIM -- it wasn't his arms doing all the work!).

One caution:  if you're nursing, talk to your doctor about how to eat to help you lose weight without jeopardizing your milk supply.

I'm not sure how I missed your intro here, but CONGRATULATIONS on your baby's safe arrival and GOOD FOR YOU for jumping right into the quest for better health and weight loss!! I hope you'll pop back by and update us on your progress soon :)
