I'm here! (Obviously, lol).  Dh has off this week and is working on the skids he's doing for his employer.  We've just about decided on the cabinets we want for our new kitchen and, since they are on sale this week, we'll probably go soon to order them and get the "new Kitchen" ball rolling!  I'm very excited at the prospect of new cabinets and a whole different (better) kitchen arrangement after 31 years!

I had to go in to see the eye doc yesterday. It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. This time I insisted they do something about the way the dilation drops affect me (headache, dilated eyes all day, heart pounding) and he cut the dose back to half and used an additional drop of some sort. I still had a headache, but my heart stayed in my chest and the dilation didn't last all the rest of the day.  The floater is still there, (I knew that, lol) and there's nothing that can be done. But he says it will go away - someday - but sometimes it takes years. Oh well, after a year already, I'm almost getting used to it now, lol.  Now I just have to get through some blood tests on Monday and a doctor visit the next Monday (to talk about the results - why can't she just call about them?) and I'll be set ... for 6 months.
I swear, ya hit 50, and you see medical personnel more than you see some of your friends, LOL!

So, that's what's up with me - what's going on in your neck of the woods?

Rain, blessed rain.  I just got home from Wal-Mart and it was really pouring while we were in there.  I ran out to the van and drove around because my d-i-l just had back surgery last week and isn't moving as well as she normally would be.  The rain gauge looks like we've had more than an inch.  Needless to say, I'm not going out just to check on the exact amount.  I have taco meat simmering on the stove and when It's done I'll pack it up and head down by the lake by ds, d-i-l, and the grandkids.  Since it's still raining they want to play some games.  Sounds good to me.

Now it's starting to crack pretty hard out there and I guess I'll turn off the computer and unplug it for a while.
