October is DV awareness month .....
I am challenging everyone here to at least call their local DV program and see what they have planned for the month and to let us know what of anything is planned. And just maybe there will be something you can help with or do? My local one I am not sure if they have anything planned but the one in the next town over is having a walk on the 3rd that I and at least my oldest are going to walk in (I am sure the little 2 will too and DS might but its early in the morning). The women in the support group are trying to put together a couple of fundraisers for next month that will also get the word out while helping the cause. I know they put up a banner in down town every October.
