Good morning Monica (and everyone!)

Feeling ok this morning.  Didn't sleep very well.  I'm used to passing out, not drifting off to sleep.  Lots of tossing and turning.  My husband and I had a long talk.  I told him I was going to get back in touch with someone I felt connected to at AA, and I also contacted Women For Sobriety to see if there are any meetings in my area.  I also told him that I needed to cut back on my work schedule, which he was in total agreeance with.  In turn, he assured me that we would work this through together, that he will do anything and everything he can to help me, which I am so thankful for.

Thanks so much for your support.  Everyone has been so comforting and supportive and I appreciate you and everyone here.

Have a wonderful sober day :)

Hugs,

Nikki

...as callous as this sounds...don't sweat the sleeplessness right now...it'll take a bit and you'll sleep when your body and mind are tired...hand yourself over to your body needing time to get back in rhythm...I am so glad that your husband is behind you...my husband was a huge help to me...he went to my first meeting with me...my husband and children sat outside of a weeks worth of meetings while I tried to find my way...he packed snacks and they worked on homework and took a game to play while I was in the meeting...he also is not a drinker (he's so strange!...he can drink one or two beers with his meal!!!...how strange is that?...me?...I used to skip the meal so that I could fully enjoy the wine...he thinks the beer is part of his meal enjoyment...)...so, we never have it in our home...it's not a part of our birthdays or holidays...please do not give doing everything you have right now to staying sober...if you're anything like me...you gave a lot to alcohol...which was a detriment to your family...everything that you do for your sobriety is a blessing to your family...good vibes today...I'll be thinking about you...

Monica
