Many Believe 'Light' Cigarettes Less Harmful
But they kill just as easily as stronger brands, experts say

"Light" can still be lethal: According to researchers, about 25 percent of smokers share the erroneous belief that so-called reduced-exposure tobacco products -- "light," herbal or reduced-nicotine cigarettes -- are less dangerous than regular cigarettes.

HI Cindy,

I think anyone still puffing away at $5.40 a pack for an opportunity to get cancer are out of their minds. Light, heavy or roll your own, they gotta be nuts. Just one survivor's (alcoholism, brain tumor, prostate cancer, none smoking related) opinion. I quit 28 years ago at 45. Good fortune to all smokers trying to quit. IT CAN BE DONE!

Warmest regards,

Paul
