I have to share with you as an ex-insomniac with bi-polar that with Lamictal I am now sleeping 8 hours a night without 10 mg. of Zanax or 150 mg.of Trazadone!!! It's a wonder drug. I am new to this board and hope to make some friends. I was diagnosed after a suicide attempt 8 years ago and have struggles with every medicine known to man and this is the first one that I can say I am truly happy on and sleeping well with, I hope to hear back from somebody, has anybody heard about this medicine before?

Welcome to the board.  Lamictal is actually a quite common medication for BP people and for most works wonders.

I am so glad you are sleeping so well. It is great when we find something that really helps us.

By the way you may get more responses if you post this in the folder above "Lifes daily challenges".  Just a suggestion.

Again welcome and stop by anytime with questions, vents, or for support we are here for you in good times and bad.

Gracie,

Lamictal is a wonderful thing isn't it? I am dx'd with BP,PA's, agorapgobia and sleep apnea. i can totally relate to thesleep depervation part. I went one week with only 2 hr's of sleep one time, not good all around lol These  MI can manifest to others it's crazy how that works.

I am looking forward to knowing you also.

HI Gracie!  And welcome!!!

I'm on lamictal too.  Just started it about 2 months ago, while weanig off lexapro.  It seems to early to tell if it's going to be great for me or not.  I have been on trazadone for a while now to help me sleep and I LOVE IT!!!  I'm on 50mg.  Actually the past few nights I haven't been able to get to sleep or stay asleep.  I don't know if it's a side effect of the Lamitcal but I'm going to talk to my doc about upping my trazadone.  Anyway, glad you found us!

Tina
