Would you (or did you) consider a prophylactic mastectomy? (see article below)
Yes, I would consider it.
Not only did I consider it, I have had the procedure.
Yes, I considered it, but chose not to have the procedure.
No, I would not consider it.

When my mother was diagnosed with breast cancer I was seriously considering getting the test to see whether I carried the gene or not especially since cancer of all sorts run in the family. I also wondered what I would do it the results came back positive.

At the end, I didn't take the test. Maybe I'll change my mind in a couple of years - who knows.

I had not considered it prior to having BC & a double masectomy, there was no history in my family.
