May I be the first to let out a giant "PHEW"? =)

Got to see my new OB doctor today regarding the leaking boobs, pain & weirdness in general. He looks at my labs from before and explains that there are 3-4 small cysts in each breast, which is normal - they come & go for most all women. Ok, that's fine. My fibroids, which I've had nearly a decade, are about the same size and nothing new. THESE were the flippin' abnormalities. WHY couldn't the first guy just give me the darn infrmation?! ARGH!

So... he goes thru the breast exam, checks all this stuff, asks a bunch of questions, and then looks at my lab results from the first prolactin check. HMM, he says. You're at 18.something, and normal is under 10 for someone in your position. They consider antyhing over 20 odd, but I'm 2 points BELOW. I'm still elevated, hell-oooooo!!

New doc is pretty sure I have a very, very tiny tumor (99.9% chance of being benign) on my pituitary gland. No sign of cancer anywhere, thankfully! BIG relief there! Woohoo!

He put me on something called bromocriptine, which I am going to nickname cryptonite so I can remember what it is. :P 6 months of the pill, one per day... within 6 weeks it should be no more pain, no more leaking. YAY!

Anyway... thnk you so much to the awesome ladies on this board, and thank you for pushing me to keep asking and not take "it's fine" for an answer. I do know my girls, and leaking isn't normal -or- fine with me. =) You're wonderful, and I wish you all a wonderfully quick and easy recovery from whatever ails you.

Woohoo!  I'm so glad you got some answers finally and that you didn't take "normal" for an answer when you knew something didn't seem right.  :)

May the cryptonite work!  LOL

that is great news!  I don't want to put a hole in your balloon, and wanted to read through your other posts before getting to this point, but has anyone done a biopsy?   I am not seeing anywhere that you posted that they have, and there is no way to know if something is cancerous, to really know, without that biopsy.
