I had a BA about 2.5 weeks ago. I'm terribly lopsided right now. One has dropped and looks really good (still a bit swollen) but the other has not and still looks really square. I'm starting to get a little worried it isn't going to drop. My Dr. told me that since I'm right handed usually the right side takes longer to look normal, but for me it is the left that still hasn't dropped. Wearing a bra is difficult since the left side is significantly bigger and such an odd shape. Also, I just took the tape off today and my incision sites are itching terribly. I know this means they are healing but is there anything I can put on to help with the itch?

Laura

Gee, i was so happy to read your post!  My ba was on sept. 25th.  So almost two weeks ago... I am right handed and my right boob has hardly any swelling, has somewhat dropped and is the perfect size.  My left side is still kinda high, has some swelling (i think) and looks much larger than the right.   I was convinced that the dr must have filled the left one more than the right!  I don't go back to the dr until the 13th, but i too am concerned about the size diff.  Reading your email has given me hope that maybe this is all just normal and maybe it will take some more time.

I have been putting bacitracin (triple anit biotic ointment) on the scar every night..it seems to help with the healing and itching.  Please keep in touch as our ba's were so close to each other, it would be great to hear one anothers progress!

hi there! i had my ba on june 22, and i am right handed. my ps put 25 more cc in the right side to even out some irregularities. but i think my right side has dropped and settled ALOT more than my left side.
they're not that much different, but i'm having some adjusting on the left side that has some concerns for me. it seems to be a bit longer in healing.
i had crease incision, and my incision site was a little itchy and red. i've been putting on cocoa butter every couple of days. that seems to really help with the scar healing and the itchiness.
hope this helps!! good luck in your healing process, both of you!!! jamie

Hi Laura!  Welcome to the board!  While it's very normal for each side to heal separately, they should be looking pretty close to the same by now.  If you're concerned, I'd schedule an extra appointment with the PS just to be sure everything is on track.
