I booked my date for November 5th! My pre-op is this Wed. I can't believe it is less than a month away! I'm excited but also a little nervous. It's always been this idea that was in the future & now it's actually happening! I decided to go with the one doctor I saw rather than going to different consultations. I was comfortable with her & my friend recommended her which makes me feel even better. She also specializes in another procedure I've decided to have done at the same time called a labiaplasty. It's something that's always kinda bothered me but got worse after having kids - I just felt like there was too much hanging down if you know what I mean - sorry if its tmi! Cosmetically it's always bothered me but it can also be uncomfortable when I work out or wear certain things. I just thought I'd share since i know it's a procedure that's gaining in popularity but not many people talk about. It's not something you even need to be put under for but I figure I'll do it at the same time to combine the recovery time. I don't anticipate there would be another time where I can get a few days in bed without having to chase the kids around. Now I'm doing my homework - looking at a couple websites my doctor recommended where I can find pictures of women who similar body types as mine - to see what I like. anyhow - i'm looking forward to finalizing my size this week!
That's great! it'll be fun to see how we're each doing! I'm going with silicone under the muscle 339-371. the doctor said she'll take a couple sizes in with her and determine which will work best in surgery. I'm a little nervous about that but I trust her judgement. I want to go from an A to a C. I'm 5' 4", 115 lbs. Since I'm on the shorter side I just want to make sure I don't go too big as I don't think I'll be able to carry that off. But then again I don't want to go too small. Both of those sizes seemed to look good when I tried them on in the office.
That's great! Congrats on both! I've heard of labiaplasty, and that for many women it's much more than cosmetic. (And just for the record, you're more than welcome to discuss any plastic/cosmetic surgery procedure on this board.)
