What is the best way to handle an open spot? I am almost 2 weeks post-op and found a open spot about the size of a pea.

I had a spot open up and it was alittle bigger than that. My PS had me wash it out and then dab it dry. Then he had me fill it with Neosporin and keep it covered 24/7. I had to do this a couple times a day until it started to close up. Took about 9 days. It was kind of a pain, but not a big deal. I just dealt with it. After it closed up, it healed pretty quick. The scar doesn't look quite as smooth as the rest, but it is at the bottom of my boob under the nipple and you really can't see it.

I would check with your doctor or nurses tomorrow before doing anything cause he might have another course for you to follow.

Good luck and let me know how you make out~

Nancy

Hi!
I was just wondering how you are making out with the open spot you have? Is it healing shut and what are you doing for it? Always nice to share info like this, cause it does happen, unfortunately. I know I was able to treat mine and it closed up well.
Let us know ~

Nancy

I am doing well. The open spot closed up in two days. Thanks for asking.
