Hi everyone,

I'm a cancer survivor so far. Back in Mid March I was dianosed with Prostate Cancer and had surgery at the end of July where they took out my Prostate, about 2 week after being home.Something went wrong and I almost bled to death, which I was rushed to a local hospital near me,where they had to rush me back into surgery to stop the bleeding, then the next day I was transfered back the the hospital where I had my surgery in the begining so that the doctors there can correct the mistakes they made in the begining.Anyway,I ran upon this site and thought that I would drop in for a few and maybe find someone who I can talk to sometimes, because I NEVER had anyone to really sit down and ask me is there anything that I would like to talk about or ask my reall feelings about what is going on with me.Now since I have had the surgery and everything,I feel kinda like I am behind on everything. It's like I am trying to catchup on what has been going on.

Thanks for letting me share,

Howie

Welcome Howie

I hope you're recovery is going better now that the mistakes have been corrected.  What a frightening time that must've been.  How is your support system?

You may have already seen, but this message board will be closing within a week.  However, you are welcome to join us over on our Cancer: Friends & Family Support message board where we have a folder set up for Survivors as well.

Right now I feel like I don't have that must support system, which I wish that I did. It would be very nice if I can talk with people who are or has been going through the samething.

You are absolutely welcome to post and ask questions, the members on the other board I mentioned are very active and friendly, though mostly women, so they may not have too many answers or information about your type of cancer, they are there to offer support.  :)
