Hi Wendy. My mom has RA and so do I. She just went GF and it's made a huge different for her, I'm working on it because I think it might be worthwhile even though I've been tested (blood test) and it looks like I don't have celiacs.

My 2 year old dd was just diagnosed with Celiacs so that is how I am even here. Here associated problems are failure to grow, hypotonia and walking delay. Also when she started eating GF her mood improved a lot (I didn't know it was low before but the change was noticeable) and her appetite has increased substantially. She hasn't gained much yet but I think it takes a while for the body to recover and start absorbing nutrients, right? The increased appetite I associate with her feeling better overall.

I have RA and all the symptoms that go with. I'm hoping a GF diet can help with those symptoms. I think just eating better in general will help some but if I also have a gluten sensitivity with the other immune issues it might make a big difference. I hope?

As with most who have RA,those that do go gf/wf do find it helps..

RA is associated with celiac, along with a few other second allergies..

It seems to be proving more and more that RA ETC that also goning acidic free also helps..

cheers Lynne

Well, I've watched my gluten intake, didn't completely eliminate it, but am feeling so much better! the diarihha has stopped and the exhaustion has lessened. I'm feeling enought change to keep going. I bought a few gf products last weekend. Most of my cooking and food intake isn't a problem, I tend to eat healthy, close to nature food. Now that I've seen improvement, I'll start baking my own bread and treats.
Thanks for the support,

Wendy in NM

OK, you asked for it!

Eggs
Chlorine
Milk
Preservatives
Food Dye
Aspirin (which makes citrus risky)

The aspirin allergy also creates "allergy du jour" which means my immune system periodically freaks out and decides that something that I am in contact with EVERY DAY OF MY LIFE is going to kill me today.  It can be hair-raising, especially amusing at work or in a busy public place, when I suddenly go into an anaphylactic shock reaction and can't breathe.

I love my home, no desire to go out much.  That's sorta good, huh?
