We're getting into this homeschooling thing and really doing well. I've found less and less time to get online to do all the things I had time to do before. It's been good though. We're doing so much and we just got back from a trip to Washington, DC and had a fantastic time seeing the sights and doing lots with history. My DD got to see her favorite documents, the Declaration of Independence and the Emancipation Proclamation. Amazing that she knows about them being only 6 years old. :) She loved that she could see them, especially since we went to Boston over the summer and saw the gravestones of some of the signers of the Declaration of Independence. I love that my child is getting so much more out of school than she would if she were back at the public school near where we live. We just did NOT like the school there. It was not the right fit for her or for us. :)
So, anyway, I'll be hit and miss around here. I'll post when I can. I posted a recipe that my family absolutely loves below. It takes a while to prepare, but it's well worth the time in the kitchen!
