It's true, I have gluten intolerance. I was really careful for two weeks to not eat gluten. My symptoms greatly improved! This week I got lazy and wasn't careful, and every uncomfortable symtom is back. I'll be baking up a storm this weekend.

Hello Wendy,oh dear thats no good really..ok this is what i usually tell

people who come to me to do up their diet sheet,i tell them to flush their system

i use loads of boiled water or filtered water and drink as much as one can.to flush the system clean..

Now once you really start the diet, you have to now be so very strict with your eating...

Try very hard to tell yourself you now have to be totally gluten and wheat free no matter what..

once a celiac always a celiac there is no cure only releif.....

EACH TIME ANY ONE GOES BACK TO GLUTEN YOU DO YOUR BODY GREAT HARM.and it takes the

body ages to recover...plus did you know that poisening yourself constantly with gluten in later year

you can get horrible consequences.it can lead to stomach cancer, bowel cancer and numerous other

things...once you get use to the idea you are on a diet it begins to come more easier..

research,as much as you can, contact ,email companies ask questions become aware of everything till

its just second nature with you, this way you will stay healthy...tell everyone you are a celiac and

you cant eat anything with gluten or wheat ,or rye ,barley and even oats..make them aware of how sick it makes

you are what you can and cant eat...so they are fully aware of your predicamentso they can help you also..

we keep handy in our purses, small flyers we made up .with things others need to know on it all as lots do not

realize much about it ......we give it to them so they can read for them selves as it can get

complicated for outsiders to hear you talk, give them sites on celiac to check things out for themselves

the more you can make your friends and family awaare of it the better...

everytime you go shopping read every label aquaint your self with food additives so you know exactly what is uin your food..

my daughter and family are constantly updating our flyers so our friends know where and what to buy ..remember

ask your dr also when prescribing any meds to give you the gluten free ones..ask your chemist for same if

you buy over counter meds...there are times you will be telling shop people whats what also ...dont take anyones

word check things out yourself its safer and healthier..now if you need check back thru our files for more info

both jaseann and i have posted lots of info and data, recipes hints etc here..if you need to know something just

pot up and ask..good luck..i am here to support when i can....cheers LYNNE

Wendy, it's amazing what a little gluten can do, isn't it? DD and I were both accidentally glutened and paid for it. My DD never really understood why she was on the diet, even though she did initially feel better. But, I think she didn't realize how bad things were before. When she and I were accidentally glutened, she was pretty sick (poor little tummy) and she and I were fighting over the bathroom...LOL! Anyway, once she realized how it felt to even have a little bit of gluten, she got the idea...and doesn't want to have that feeling again!

I hope you start feeling better again really soon! I know that when I got glutened at a restaurant recently, it took a few days to get back to normal.

I made myself feel better today by baking a batch of GF Betty Crocker chocolate chip cookies. They are so gooooooood! I also had a gf brown rice bread grilled cheese sandwich for lunch. This is a resticted diet????

You know, it's amazing how "normal" you can eat when on the GF diet...it just means tweaking a few things. You can still have some really awesome stuff. We've just subbed rice pasta for the wheat-based pasta. We've made our own GF bread. We've just had to do some label reading and making sure that some things are truly GF. You will be surprised what products gluten is hiding in, but you'll be equally surprised at how much stuff you CAN have! :)

Good luck with making some awesome GF food to make you feel better!
