This is hard for me to write.

I have come to love this board and its members over the past 3, 4 years. This board and you, the members have meant a lot to me. I was sad when you were sad and happy when you were happy! We all have cried together and cheered each other on.

During the past few months however, this board has slowly but steadily died down. Then the chats got cancelled in part due to the same reason. I tried hard (as did my co-and chat hostess Minnie and when she was CL our dear Ma/Lindy), but maybe it is not needed as much today as it wasd 2 years ago. So the moderators from iVillage decided to close down this board and make it a read-only board.

It is very sad and I hope you are all doing well. Drop me a line or two sometime if you like (my email address is in my profile) and don't forget each other.

Together, we have come a long way and don't forget that you are all special! You're all unique. You're all deserving of much love, joy and happiness. You are all survivors, never forget that!

This will probably be my final message here to you. Please know that I never felt that this board was a chore- I always loved coming here and "seeing" and "talking" to you here.

There will be an offical link to redirect you to other boards which are all very good and supportive - so don't hesitate to stop by there and say HELLO!

Big hugs to you all, I loved being part of this!

Goodbye!

Love Stef

Hi all!  I wanted to say thanks for all the laughs, the awesome encouragement, and all the great advice that has been given to me and all the others here!!!  I think that the CL's and especially Stefanie did a great job.  All great things must come to an end.  The board isnt in demand like it used to be.  It comes in waves, we all need help and then sometimes we dont, but it was nice to know that there was help here when we needed it!  Everyone take care of yourselves and find another board for support when you need it.  :)

I am so sorry to hear that this board is going down!!! I know I haven't spent much time here since our chats stopped, but this place has meant so much to me and I've made some really good friends here.

Stef... Congratulations to you for being such a kind, caring and knowledgable CL here. Also for all your hard work in college. I know you will make a great counsellor. Good luck to you and your hubby in everything you do always!

Had to get in this one last post to remind current members and future readers of this board... The archives are jam-packed with very useful information. Even though we can't talk amongst ourselves here any more, it might help to dig into the archives and review. There are many wise words from members themselves along with links to other websites that have helpful recovery information. It's also a way of keeping in touch with those you met here on this board.

Since I started recovery and joined this message board, my life changed so much for the better. I am forever grateful to those who guided me, were here for me. And, I will never forget my experiences here of sharing with others on the board and in chat.

Hoping you all find everything your hearts desire!

Love & Hugs, Minnie

Stef,

It's been a long road here for many. Filled with caring, listening, tears and warmth. You will be missed, very much so. Your humor, sage advice and caring heart.

Memories of when ma and Min were here are great. I'd like to thank each and everyone for being here though the years. Thank you to iVillage for making this possible. Friends forever in the heart. Yet, the very nature of life is to move on. To be stagnant and stuck would be no life at all. Which brings me to the words below....

To everything there is a season,
a time for every purpose under the sun.
A time to be born and a time to die;
a time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted;
a time to kill and a time to heal ...
a time to weep and a time to laugh;
a time to mourn and a time to dance ...
a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing;
a time to lose and a time to seek;
a time to rend and a time to sew;
a time to keep silent and a time to speak;
a time to love and a time to hate;
a time for war and a time for peace.

ecclesiastes 3:1-8

With that said...I wish you all abundant life,

Hugs Rain
