That is not a pet problem - that is a baby problem.

I think she was upset that I said it was essentially the baby that caused the problem of people getting rid of their pets, not the pet themselves.  Oh well.

According to her profile, she's a stay at home mom, so there you have it.  I wouldn't be surprised if she has gotten rid of a pet before because a baby came along.

I think that's what her problem was too.. Afterall, kids are more important than everything else. Pets are supposed to be an ideal way to teach a kid responsibility but so many parents get rid of them when the baby comes along. They don't even attempt to live with both the pet and the baby. I don't get it.

Right now I have a sick guinea pig. She needs force fed every 3 hours. Likely the best insentive I've had to not have kids in a very long time.
