I co-hosted a spa party with one of my co-workers today and only 2 people of the 7 I invited showed up! I was very sad, but we did have a great time, soaking our feet and doing facials and all that girly stuff... I even made special vegan goodies for one person that didn't show up! Oh well, we ate them anyway!

I hate when people do that. Did they ever explain why they did not show up ??? That is so rude in my opinion. That sounds like a fun way to spend a say though.

One forgot (which I have forgiven because she has medical problems and received some not so good news she was trying to digest over the weekend).

One turned her hair orange, trying to get gorgeous for the spa party...

One didn't read the invitation and thought it was in the evening...

Me? I am sitting around a lot with my right foot in the air, reading and writing. I had bunion surgery early this morning, so I have to keep it elevated.

OK, OK--the truth is that I don't do what I am supposed to do and I feel like an idiot, but sitting around with my foot in the air isn't me. I do it some, but it isn't even my favorite position for reading. And I can't use the computer while sitting like that now, can I? I just hope I won't mess it up.

I am also "grounded," because it's my right foot--the gas pedal/brake pedal foot.

Classes start at KU in 3 weeks, and I am trying to get in under the wire so my foot will be able to wear a shoe again by the first day of class.

I had the kind of bunion surgery where they take that sucker apart and then restructure the joint with screws and wire. It's gonna take a while to heal.
