Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) becomes worse in wintertime and is often treated with light therapy or psychotherapy. If you suffer from SAD, what do you do to treat it?
I'm not prone to it so don't really have any need to treat. I do however, have a friend who goes to the tanning bed for a few minutes a couple times a week to "give her a boost". While not the most healthy alternative she swears it works. lol
I did when I kept moving away from FL. As much as I would love to live more north than here, I know my limits and accept them. I do know people who suffer from reverse SAD here - it's the summer months that affect them. It's a tough condition.
I suffer from it and have bought a light box, but I'm not very good at using it (it's very bright and annoying to me). Meds have helped me, but not very consistently. I have a friend who suffers from it, and he swears by his meds in the wintertime when he's up north.
