I'm an active guy in my fifties, non-smoker, drink an occasional glass of wine, no more than 5-10 lbs overweight. For up to an hour after I urinate, i drip. Not a great amount, but enough so that I no longer like to wear light colored pants. If I go during the night, there's often a wet spot on the sheet when I wake up in the morning. This has been happening for a couple of years, and seems to gotten a little worse over time. Recently, I visited a urologist who said it's just a function of my age and the way male plumbing is designed. Is that true, or is there something more I can do?

It could be related to incomplete bladder emptying which could be due
to an enlarged prostate.  I would personally get another opinion.  You
may need some bladder testing called Urodynamics to help sort it all
out.
