Free snack bars were available at tutoring site on Tues, so I decided to try a Fiber One bar. I knew the fiber wouldn't bother me, as I eat plenty. BUT - forgot to read the ingredients. The one thing I can't eat is barley in any form - might as well be chomping ExLax. Missed a lot of TV watching last night.... So, now I have 2 ingredients that do this - any sweetener ending in "itol" (sorbitol, xylitol, maltitol) and barley. For years I was diagnosed with IBS and it was the sorbitol in fudge bars I was eating daily.
