Newbie wanting to join in!
Hi Buddies: have room for one more?
I am 53, married, work full time, live in Central Ohio, I actually love to exercise, alas can't do what I use to do post neck surgery and knees don't like step bench anymore, but I do Leslie Samsone walk DVDs, other low impact aerobics, free weights (have had to decrease in that post neck surgery also), some yoga, tai chi, and pilates, so try and do a variety of things.
I only weigh in once a month, and I prefer not to count calories, I do better when I focus on only eating with real physical hunger and to limit how big of a portion I take.
My worst dowfalls are eating out a lot and clean plating what I am served.
I do have a sweet tooth, but usually can curb that into eating a small portion of whatever dessert it is.
I had my first food binge in second grade, so I have struggled with this forever. I know I medicated with food like an alcoholic drinks etc. During my childhood: food was the loving parent and the best friend I didn't have in my real world.
I look forward to getting to know you all. And time for this buddy to put her walking shoes on and do my saturday morning ritual of 3 miles walking on the treadmill. For some reason, I only do the treadmill on saturday! Go figure on that one.
