Hi I read your board will be moving, so I hope this will get aswner before then, if not I will check the new board. I'll tell ya alittle about me 1st. In Feb. My DH came clean and told me and our family (parents) that he was smoking crack. Well the reason he came clean was, well our bank acct. was cleaned out!! I am soooo mad I didn't see it coming!! Well we call tons of places to get him help and he wanted to go, but no one would really help they said with a crack addict it is not an addict that you check into a place to get "clean" it is a drug that is out of your system with no harming withdraws. The only thing you can do it go to meets like AA but for drug. Ok 1st I don't get that !! If someone wants help wouldn't that help. Sorry this is long... This is the 1st time I have talkes about it. He went to meets for about 3 months and it seemed to help, but then he started to lie again and not go to meets. He thinks it doesn't help him, he still wants it. I'm lost I don't know what to do now!! I read a post about crack and someone put this up.... >>>In my experience you can never "reach" a crack addict. I am still here, so I will answer here. Crack is extremely addicting, but there is hope. Did you check out rehabs or detox? I know that there are rehabs for addicts. Weird info there. If your husband wants to get clean he can and will.
Did you check out rehabs or detox? Yes and they all say, crack is not a withdraw drug so you don't do rehabs or detoxing. So I'm lost, and the meetings he tryed are older people that had different drug addicts and he can't seem to relate. Sorry for the name mix up on a friends computer
