I had a tvh in Feb and have been feeling incredibly exhausted. I had an appt w/ my family practice dr and she wanted to do blood work to make sure there everything is ok. My iron levels were high. The nurse called to say that they got some of the results back but are still waiting for a test they had to send away to another lab. She said my iron levels were high and the dr would be calling back later to talk to me. From what I understand normal iron levels are around 200 and mine are 850. Has anyone else had this problem? What did they do for it? I am not taking any vitamins or doing anything differently since my surgery. Thanks for your advice.

Hi and WELCOME Ann!

I didn't have that experience personally.. and don't know of anyone who has.  I searched ivillage for answers for you, but came up empty-handed.  I hope they figure it out for you.  Sounds pretty weird.  You'd think it'd be low after surgery, due to even a little blood loss.  Please do keep us posted.

Hugs,
Stacy
