Endometriosis, but no health care.
I am writing on behalf of my mother, who is suffering from chronic abdominal and pelvic pain during every menstrual cycle. Her doctors have told her it is most likely endometriosis. She can barely stand up when she is on her period each month, she is in so much pain. She has been told she needs surgery, but has no health care and we cannot afford health care, so the doctors told her they "could not help her" and turned her away.
My question is this: is there anything at all that can be done to ease her pain? And also, is endometriosis potentially fatal if left untreated?
