What is with little girl bras?

My word. I went to get my 12 year old a simple athletic bra and just a regular bra. I am shocked and horrified at the selection out there. Why can't I just go get her a regular good old fashioned bra in little girl styles and colors. Of course she LOVES the selection, but I don't.

Why does a little girl need a padded push up bra in scandalous colors and patterns? And we wonder why our teens are obsessed with sex?

Don't you think the "adult" bra for little girls is just way over the top? What is your opinion?

I agree, a 12 year old does NOT need an adult style bra... nothing padded and push up, I don't even want my 12 year old wearing underwire bras at this point (not that she needs it, lol).  I usually find decent bras in her size and a good style for little girls at Kohl's.

I think that is ridiculous! Fortunately, I'm not in that position as of yet, as I'm only just now pregnant with our first and we don't know the gender yet!! But even as someone who doesn't have children, there is no need for a 12 year old girl to have a padded or pushed up anything!! lol

I too am horrified! I went to look for some simple "beginner" bras for my nearly 11 year old daughter and was completely shocked to find underwire, demi cups, push ups, paddings and everything else with matching bikini panties for those who have nothing (and no business imo) pushing up and decorating.

What ever happened to the plain white with that little pink flower in the middle training bras???

Oh wow I don't even want to think about that - but yes - that is TOO much for little girls. I have a hard enough time trying to find her age appropriate clothing at age 9 (no midriff tops or daisy duke shorts)!
