Do at least one and check in when finished. Can anyone TRY to do them all?
Do 10 pushups--whether they are modified (with knees on the ground) regular (also called men's) or standing (lean against a counter and push). Now, do 10 more. Okay--one more set. Pushups are essential for toning the entire upper body and working those core muscles in your abdomen. So don't skimp--get 'em done!
Do 50 jumping jacks. I know they are hard. You don't have to jump all the way out---but just try them. If you have bad knees, then jump slighly, but at least try. Now do 50 more. Can we get one more set out of you?
Do 10 regular situps. Crunches do not work like situps--we have to do them. Come one--they do work. Yes, you will be sore until your body adjusts to them. Now, do 10 more. Can I get one more set of 10?
Stand up in front of a chair. Now sit down in the chair. Now stand up WITHOUT using your arms. You will have to stick your butt out and slightly lean forward while you push with your leg muscles. Do that five more times. Keep your legs shoulder width apart when trying this. Can you do it THREE more times? Tough isn't it?
Lunge through your house. Bend all the way down with your front leg at a 90 degree angle when you lunge. (I should be able to set a cup of water on your leg). Ooooops, you spilled your water. Go a little further down next time if you can. How many lunges did you get? Be sure and go down when you bend and do not let your knee go out over your toes.
