I agree. Your doctor is doing a good thing.

I have NEVER had problems with cysts.....until I started Clomid. Now when I take the medication I typically develop one. Some months it gets quite large (and EXTREMELY) painful. When that happens I have to take a "rest cycle" - no clomid, very limited baby dancing activity. My doctor told me that cysts can sometimes cause the ovary to twist. The blood supply gets cut off as a result and then the ovary dies. Bottom line, cycts can be VERY problematic if not monitored.

Don't be afraid to talk to your doctor. You need to have a trusting relationship.

Hi,
I always thought a baseline ultrasound was to make sure everything was set inside your uterus to have a good cycle.
You mentioned having a second dr. Me too, my I ask your story and what made you switch dr.?
In the same boat,
Kathy

Hi,
I was wondering if you would offer some friendly advice.
I woke up this morning to find a failed iui, for the-second time, I had one six months age with a different Dr and I was on different meds.
I'm getting very confused with emotions and choices, I really don't know how much longer I can emotionally handle this.
What makes me think that my body will let this work if I do it again. I want to believe that god is on my side, I know that facts that say my body is ok (besides the PCOS)and that I respond to the medicine, so now what? I can't take it any more and really don't have anyone to turn to.
Thanks,Kathy

Hi-
I'm trying to remember what i said about a second dr?
The only thing I can think of is, the first dr i was going to is when I went on clomid for the first time.
I don't believe that he was a very caring dr. because he did 'nt do any ultrasounds.
It was just me going to get blood work done to see if follicles were formed and to see if I ovulated.
I would like to beleive that the first time with clomid did't work because I was extemely nerved out due to problems with my husband.
The second dr. was because we moved. So I wanted to give the clomid another chance.
I don't have bad nerves anymore, so I'm praying for another chance with God that I will become pregnant.
Yeah, the ultrasound is to check to make sure everything is looking good and going well.
Supposedly, clomid can cause cysts in some people.
I guess I'm not one of them becsuse with the first dr, he had no concern. This one is very thoro.
I feel for you. I also am just asking for god's timing to be real soon!
We've been trying for about 3 1/2 yrs.
I don't know about you, but I can't afford to start seeing a specialist.

Kris.

The IUI and Clomid basically gets our chances to getting pregnant back up. Normal women ovulate monthly and even if they time sex right, it doesn't mean that they WILL get pg. Egg quality or sperm quality could have something to do with it. So it may or may not help. If it doesn't, you need to get thoroughly checked out and have your H thoroughly checked out to make sure there aren't other issues that need addressed. :)
