You really ought to wait a cycle or two to get the bcps out of your system before you start the Clomid. If your doctor said to wait, it's what I'd do. That way you can be confident that you are giving things the best chance to work.

Hi Jen,
I've been skimming this board and I saw you mention you had taken Provera for irregular cycles. I stopped bc about a year ago and my cycles have gotten progressively longer. It has now been 5 months without a period which makes it very frustrating!! I have asked my doctor if he thinks it is "unhealthy" to go this long with no AF but he says it is fine and that if/when we decide to try Clomid we will induce a period with Provera then. What is your opinion?

I have had all of my b/w done and found out I was subclinical hypothyroid (TSH was a 5) I've been on Synthroid for a few months though and have been able to lower my level to a 1.7 which is well within the normal range of 1-5. I was initially hoping that correcting my TSH would regulate my cycle and we could ttc without clomid but now it looks like I may have to go down that path in order to ovulate. Have you had success with Clomid? I'm so nervous!!

Thanks!
Steph
